22   Is there no balm in Gilead?

13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

15 When one of those who reclined at table with him heard these things, he said to him, “Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!”

6   Give strong drink to the one who is perishing,
    and wine to those in bitter distress;
7   let them drink and forget their poverty
    and remember their misery no more.

21 Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs and apply it to the boil, that he may recover.”

26 saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.”
