24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

22   He who finds a wife finds a good thing
    and obtains favor from the LORD.

13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” 8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”

11   The heart of her husband trusts in her,
    and he will have no lack of gain.
12   She does him good, and not harm,
    all the days of her life.

9 But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

14   If a man dies, shall he live again?
    All the days of my service I would wait,
    till my renewal should come.
