¹⁷ If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

Do not even pagans do that? ⁴⁸ Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

¹⁶ And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

² Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

¹⁴ What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?
