Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,

  by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
    make many to be accounted righteous,

  yet he bore the sin of many,
    and makes intercession for the transgressors.
